The Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, which was severely damaged by deranged vandals, has been drained to repair this large gap. We were able to get through the great Fourth of July holidays without any problems. What kind of animals could do something like this? We are looking at using materials that are resistant to vandalism, but there should not have been any need for that in the first place. These thugs who are now in court, I hope, will be prosecuted with the maximum penalties.
