The Kuwait Army General Staff said its air defenses are currently countering a new wave of missile and drone attacks by the Islamic Republic.
Based on this statement, published by Kuwait’s official news agency, any explosion sounds heard are the result of these attacks being intercepted by the air-defense systems.
The General Staff asked citizens to follow the security and safety instructions issued by the relevant institutions.
The Islamic Republic’s Army claimed that in the seventeenth stage of the “Sa‘aqa” operation, in the early hours of Sunday, it again targeted an important U.S. ammunition depot in the Al-‘Adhri camp and the equipment and personnel sheds at the Ali al-Salem base in Kuwait with a drone.
The institution had hours earlier, in the sixteenth stage of the same operation, claimed an attack on these same two bases and a Patriot radar.
The claims made by the Islamic Republic’s Army have not been confirmed by independent sources or by American and Kuwaiti officials.
