🔸The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iranian Army on Thursday morning, the first of Mordad, reported new “drone attacks” on sites in Kuwait, in response to fresh attacks by the United States.
🔸In its statement, the IRGC said it attacked the Ali al-Salem airbase, the Al-Addeiri barracks, and a communications tower in Kuwait. The IRGC claimed in its statement that, in these attacks, a number of American troops were “killed and wounded,” and a Patriot air defense system, several U.S. helicopters and drones, and a communications tower were also “destroyed.”
🔸Iran’s army also reported drone attacks on the Al-Dawha, Ali al-Salem, and Arifjan camp bases in Kuwait.
🔸Hours before the new U.S. attacks, the commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had threatened that if Iran’s infrastructure were targeted, they would attack energy facilities of the countries in the region.
🔸SENTCOM announced early on Thursday that U.S. forces had targeted objectives the previous night including maritime capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, radar and coastal surveillance sites, and air defense systems in Iran.
