🚨 Iran’s regime has turned the Strait of Hormuz into a pressure tool

Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State: “Iran’s regime (or at least some parts of it) wants to have full control of the Strait of Hormuz and to use it as leverage against the entire world.”

He emphasized: “The United States will do whatever is necessary to protect global shipping, but other countries also need to pay their share—whether with equipment or with money.”

On diplomacy as well, he said: “We are always ready to negotiate, but diplomacy has to be real. An agreement that Iran will truly adhere to.”

Rubio added: “They send signals of negotiations, but we look at their actions. In addition, they also have a deep rift within themselves.”
