Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Statement:

The action taken by the Government of the United Kingdom in applying an “security” label to an official institution of an independent state is a despicable, provocative act that violates international law and the United Nations Charter. This decision, particularly in a situation where the region of West Asia has been placed in a critical and tense state as a result of the recklessness of the United States and the child-killing Zionist regime, demonstrates the utmost malice of the designers and those approving this decision.

While the Islamic Republic of Iran, while reserving all of its rights under the United Nations Charter and international law to take reciprocal measures in response to the unlawful action of the United Kingdom, emphasizes that responsibility for the consequences and destructive political, legal, and diplomatic outcomes of this anti-Iranian decision will rest with the ruling body of the United Kingdom.
