In an Israeli attack on a vehicle in northern Gaza, a Hamas military commander was killed.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, the Hamas military commander whom Israel said it targeted his vehicle—“Ahmed al-Batsh,” nicknamed “Abu Asame”—has been confirmed as killed by Hamas media sources as well.

The Times of Israel wrote that the Israeli army said its forces and Israel’s internal security organization, Shin Bet, have stepped up their “anti-terror” operations in the Gaza Strip in recent weeks.

Iranian media wrote on Monday night, citing “Gaza Al-An,” that he was among the commanders of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades and was killed following an Israeli air attack.

Al Jazeera also reported on how this senior Hamas member was killed, saying he was killed during an “air strike on a vehicle on Al-Saftawi Street” located in the north of Gaza City (west of Jabalia)."
