The head of the National Livestock Supply Council announced a 30% increase in the price of imported frozen meat in just the past month.

Mansour Pouyan, in an interview with ILNA, said that the price of one kilogram of Brazilian frozen meat in the market is between 1,350,000 tomans and 1,400,000 tomans. This is while exactly one month ago this meat was below one million tomans.

He attributed the cause of this price increase to a sharp rise in the price of the dollar.

The head of the National Livestock Supply Council, while noting that imports of frozen imported meats are carried out using the “second hall” exchange rate, which is close to the market price, said: “At present, due to the rise in the dollar price, the price of locally produced hot meat and imported frozen meat is relatively equal.”
