Hassan Qashqavi, a member and spokesperson of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, said that this commission approved Article 9 of the “Strategic Action Plan for Ensuring Security and Progress of the Strait of Hormuz” on Sunday, 15 Shahrivar.
Under this resolution, the passage of vessels or shipments related to countries, individuals, and entities that impose sanctions on the Islamic Republic or take “hostile action” against it will be prohibited from the Strait of Hormuz.
Qashqavi said that the General Staff of the Armed Forces is responsible for determining “hostile action,” and the Supreme National Security Council will also identify the countries and entities that sanction Tehran or block its assets.
