Habib Qasemi, a member of the presidium of the Majlis Commission on Article 90, told the House of Parliament News Agency: “The European Union has placed itself alongside the United States in the economic war. According to our defensive policies, any entity that cooperates with the enemy to paralyze Iran and put pressure on people will be a legitimate target for us.”

This member of parliament continued: “We should not only target the United States’ bases, but also punish the enemy in extra-regional dimensions.”

He added: “We must use existing capacities and also cooperate with Yemeni forces in the Bab al-Mandab waterway—which is the economic lifeline of the world and especially Europe—to apply economic pressure on European countries so that they cannot, in a calm atmosphere, turn to hostile decisions.”
