🔺Gharibabadi: We proposed a new route for transiting the Strait of Hormuz
▪ The deputy foreign minister of the Islamic Republic announced that in talks with Oman, a new route has been proposed for the entry and exit of ships from the Strait of Hormuz.
▪ Kazem Gharibabadi said the request by the Islamic Republic was that the southern route used by ships be temporarily suspended, and after consultations with military commanders, a new route has been proposed that does neither through the northern passage nor through the southern one.
▪ He said the Islamic Republic will assert its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz at any cost, and it will not accept the southern route under any circumstances.
