🔸 The funeral ceremony for the body of Akbar Abdi, a prominent Iranian film and television actor, was held on Sunday, the 4th of Mordad, with the presence of his family and a large group of those involved in Iranian cinema and television, as well as his fans, at the courtyard of Vahdat Hall in Iran.

🔸 Almeira Abdi, the daughter of this actor, in the ceremony, pointing to her father’s illness in the past months, asked the attendees to offer condolences to Iranian cinema instead of to Abdi’s family.

🔸 At the memorial ceremony for Abdi, in addition to his daughter and wife, Homayoun Asadian, filmmaker and CEO of the House of Cinema, Alireza Khomesheh, actor and co-star with him in several films, and Masoud Jafari Jozani, filmmaker, spoke.

🔸 After the funeral, the body of this artist will be laid to rest in Artists’ Section in Behesht Zahra (s).

🔸 Akbar Abdi, who had played roles in dozens of films and television series over more than four decades of artistic activity, died on Friday, the 2nd of Mordad, at the age of 66.

🔸 In recent months, he had faced physical problems, and in Ordibehesht of this year as well, due to a cardiac arrest, he was hospitalized for a time in a hospital and the intensive care unit.
