🎥 Fourth anniversary of Mahsa Amini; market strike and roadblock along the path to “Aichi”

On the fourth anniversary of the killing of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, shopkeepers and bazaar merchants in a number of Kurdish-populated cities across Iran went on strike. Images released indicate widespread closures of shops, and reports received by Deutsche Welle point to the prominent presence of security forces. Majd Amini says the routes leading to “Aichi Cemetery” were blocked. At the same time, Amnesty International called for a criminal investigation into the role of 87 officials of the Islamic Republic in suppressing the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests.
