🔶 Financial Times: Iran’s foreign ministers and Gulf countries meet to advance the Hormuz agreement
The British newspaper "Financial Times" reported on Friday, September 11 (20 Shahrivar), that the foreign ministers of Gulf countries are planning to meet with their Iranian counterpart.
The newspaper said in its report that the purpose of this meeting is to advance efforts by Oman and Iran to win the agreement of regional countries on a temporary deal regarding the management of ships’ passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report, published with information from two informed individuals, the meeting is set to be held on Monday, September 14, in the coastal city of Salalah in Oman.
Officials of the Gulf countries and the Islamic Republic have not yet commented on this news.
Reuters also published this news citing the Financial Times, but wrote that it has not yet been able to independently verify it.
