🔸Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed on Saturday in separate phone calls with his Omani and Iranian counterparts efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East.

🔸According to a statement from Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelatty, in talks with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the need to halt all “military and tension-raising” actions in order to prevent the spread of hostilities.

🔸Egypt Today newspaper, citing a statement from the Egyptian foreign ministry, reported that in these talks, the importance of preserving freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea was also stressed, a matter described as a “key factor for regional security and stability.”

🔸The Egyptian foreign minister also called for the protection of civilians.

🔸Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had asked residents of Gulf countries to keep at least 500 meters away from U.S. military bases in their countries.
