According to Al-Jadeed Network, Nabih Berri, the head of the Lebanese Parliament, and Abbas Araqchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, held a phone call to discuss developments in Lebanon and the region and efforts to establish security and stability, especially in the Persian Gulf.
Berri briefed Araqchi on the continuation of Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon and the failure to implement the ceasefire agreement, and warned about the consequences of regional and international silence.
The report says Berri also thanked the Islamic Republic for supporting Lebanon and said that the cessation of Israel’s war against Lebanon is the first item in implementing the understanding between the Islamic Republic and the United States.
