👈 According to a report by the “Bild” magazine, Qatari investors have blocked the proposed partnership between Volkswagen and Israel’s “Rafael” for the production of components for the “Iron Dome” missile defense system at the company’s “Osnabrück” plant.

Volkswagen signed a preliminary agreement with this Israeli state defense company in late April as part of plans to refurbish the plant, which had faced problems. However, the “Qatar Investment Fund” (QIA), which holds 10.4% of Volkswagen’s shares and controls 17% of the company’s voting rights, has objected to the agreement, citing the tense relations between Qatar and Israel.
