🔸A bicyclist man died on Saturday evening in Rotterdam, while being detained by police.

🔸The Dutch police reported on the social media platform X that the incident occurred Saturday night, 21 Shahrivar, during an arrest operation in the “Rotterdam-Zuid” area.

🔸The bicyclist was stopped at around 8:45 p.m. after a chase and flight on “Wernerskamp” Street in the “Rotterdam-Zuid” area, but he failed to prove his identity and died when officers tried to arrest him.

🔸It was later determined that the person was a 51-year-old man from Rotterdam.

🔸Since this death occurred during a police operation, the Netherlands’ National Public Prosecution Service immediately began independent investigations into the precise details of what happened and the officers’ conduct.
