According to information received by “IranWire,” “Yezdan Rouyayi,” born on 10 Khordad 1376, was killed in the protests on Friday, 19 Dey 1404, in the Baharan housing estate of “Sabāshahr,” Tehran, by a sniper’s bullet. According to an informed source, Yezdan—who was the father of two young children—ran a fruit stand, and in the protests of 19 Dey a sniper targeted his neck. A source close to Rouyayi’s family told IranWire that citizens living in the Baharan housing estate and Sabāshahr took part in large numbers in calls on 18 and 19 Dey, and many were killed in that area. IranWire previously published the account of “Mehran Zend,” another person killed in those days in Sabāshahr.
