This citizen, who is currently being held in Choubinder Prison in Qazvin, has been sentenced to death by Branch One of the Revolutionary Court in Qazvin on the charge of “waging war against God through involvement in the destruction of public property.” In this regard, an informed source close to Khanbabayi’s family, confirming the report to HRANA, said: “One of the instances cited as part of the allegations brought against Mr. Khanbabayi is the breaking of two cameras. This has raised concerns regarding the process of handling this prisoner’s case.” Kamal Khanbabayi, the son of Reza, born in 1373, married, a father of one child, and from Qazvin County, was arrested on Dey 25 (of last year) by officers of the Intelligence Department and, for about 10 days, was held in one of the Intelligence Department detention centers “under interrogation and beatings, with the aim of obtaining forced confessions.”
