I am following, with deep concern, the continuing and escalating violence in #HolyLand; a place where in recent days, again, many civilians have been killed, both in the West Bank and in Gaza. From the bottom of my heart, I urge for negotiations to be resumed so that a fair political solution, based on equal dignity and equal rights for every human being, can be achieved. At the same time, I call for the rejection of further military actions and unilateral decisions—especially those that violate respect for the holy sites of all religions and their existing status.
I also repeat my request regarding the situation across all of #MiddleEast; a region where the escalation of military operations has once again brought violence and destruction, put the lives of countless civilians at risk, and worsened the shortage of drinking water and electricity. From the depths of my heart, I ask all parties involved to stop the attacks and immediately reopen the paths of dialogue and diplomacy, so that the peace that the entire region is waiting for becomes reality without delay.
Let us together #pray for all nations around the world who are suffering because of war. May God touch hearts and enlighten the minds of those in power, so that reconciliation and #peace prevail as soon as possible.
