🔶 Trump: China and Russia have said they will not sell weapons to Iran

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Friday, July 24, that he does not believe that China or Russia are supplying weapons to Iran and cited “assurances” he received from the leaders of these two countries.

Trump wrote on the social network “Truth Social”: «In my recent meeting in Beijing, President Xi Jinping told me that under no circumstances would he provide the Islamic Republic of Iran with weapons, and that this includes Chinese companies as well.»

Trump also said: «Given the relationship we have, I accept his word, and in addition, I do him very big favors.»

Trump claims that Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, also told him that Moscow will not sell weapons to Iran.

He wrote: «So, in my view, the two major countries that we usually talk about in relation to Iran are not involved in this matter. If they were to do such a thing, it would be very bad for them and not in their own interest.»
