The New York Times reported that, based on an internal report from the International Atomic Energy Agency, the Islamic Republic continues to block inspectors’ access to its nuclear facilities and the agency cannot verify the location and status of Iran’s stockpiles of uranium enriched to near weapons level.

The 11-page report was sent to member countries ahead of next week’s meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors in Vienna. A new resolution condemning the Islamic Republic is expected to be reviewed at this meeting.

According to the report, as of June 12 Iran had about 9,874.9 kilograms of enriched uranium, of which 184.1 kilograms had been enriched to the 20 percent level and 440.9 kilograms to the 60 percent level.

The New York Times wrote that the agency does not have certainty about the exact location of some nuclear facilities and the materials present in them. The Islamic Republic has also not answered old questions about its previous nuclear program and undeclared sites.

Based on the agency’s report, the Islamic Republic has promised to provide inspectors access to the Bushehr nuclear power plant by the end of this month.
