The Greek army announced that a Patriot battery of the country stationed in Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched from Yemen that were targeting a major refinery in the Yanbu area.

According to Greek forces, the attack caused no damage to the refinery and its operations continued without disruption.

The Greek Patriot battery has been stationed in Saudi Arabia since 2021 as part of a joint air and missile defense mission.
