Shahram Khalki, a researcher in Middle East history and international relations, said that the Islamic Republic’s actions in the Strait of Hormuz and attacks on the energy infrastructure of the countries in the region create the conditions for the formation of regional and international consensus against Tehran.

He also said that for years the Islamic Republic has been seeking to impose its preferred model on the Persian Gulf by disrupting regional security, but this approach has met with opposition from the countries of the region and will ultimately fail.
