Based on data from Saudi Arabia’s statistics authority, inflation based on the consumer price index this year has fluctuated between 1.7 and 1.8 percent. Monthly inflation was also 0.1 percent.

Inflation has remained steady as Saudi Arabia faces increasing attacks by the Houthis and Iraqi militias on its energy infrastructure, and the country’s East-West pipeline was taken out of service on 19 Shahrivar.

Iran’s annual inflation in the same period was recorded at 70 percent, and point-to-point inflation at 89 percent. Food inflation in Iran exceeded 127 percent.
