Reuters: Several oil tankers changed course to avoid passing through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait
Citing shipping data, Reuters reported that today at least 5 oil tankers have changed their route in the Red Sea to avoid passing through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. It also said that one oil tanker requested assistance after being targeted by a missile attack.
According to the report, yesterday 3 oil tankers that were traveling to China and India also abandoned the route through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and returned to their previous route.
