🔶 Reports of U.S. attacks on Iranian military positions in the Strait of Hormuz
As tensions in the Strait of Hormuz increase, the Axios website, citing a U.S. official, reported that the U.S. Army has targeted Iran’s missiles and air defense systems.
According to the report, small boats of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have also been attacked in different places within the Strait of Hormuz area.
Meanwhile, local officials in Iran said that several projectiles hit Qeshm Island. Hussein Amirtemouri, the governor of Qeshm, said in an interview with IRNA that between 10 and 11 projectiles hit the island from the evening of Sunday.
He claimed that all targets were military and that these attacks caused no casualties.
Earlier, reports had been published about hearing the sound of several explosions from the direction of the east of Bandar Abbas and the maritime area of Qeshm. Residents in the southern part of Qeshm Island, who are older, also reported hearing several explosions.
In another report, local sources said that two projectiles hit Abu Musa Island, the southernmost point of Iran.
