🔶 Pentagon inspector report released on the consequences of “Righteous Rage” operation

The first report by the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) on the “Righteous Rage” operation against the Islamic Republic was released.

Prepared for submission to the United States Congress, the report is the first inspection report related to this operation and examines the war’s military, financial, human, and strategic dimensions.

Published on Monday, September 14 (23 Shahrivar), the report covers the period from February 28 to June 30 (9 Esfand 1404 to 9 Tir 1405). According to the report, the cost of this operation by the end of that period had reached $33.4 billion, including $22.3 billion in munitions expended and $3.7 billion in equipment damage.

In the Pentagon Inspector General’s report, while providing details on the extent of damage inflicted on U.S. military and diplomatic facilities across the Middle East during the “Righteous Rage” operation, it warns that these clashes “revealed shortages in capacity in parts of the weapons and munitions production chain.”
