🔺Paris meeting to strengthen Lebanon’s army; the US and allies discuss a possible replacement for UNIFIL

▪Military commanders from European and Arab countries met in Paris on Thursday, the 26th of Shahrivar, to review Lebanon’s army needs and how to fill the possible security gap after the mission of the United Nations peacekeeping force UNIFIL in the south of the country comes to an end. A senior U.S. military official involved in Middle East security matters is also attending the meeting.
