🔸A group of members of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly has prepared a draft of a new bill with the aim of expanding «censorship» and imposing greater restrictions in the area of access to the internet.
🔸The bill «Regulating Cyberspace» is a revised version of a previous bill titled «Bill to Protect Cyberspace» that was shelved after widespread criticism.
🔸The proposed new bill drops some of the most controversial parts of the previous bill. However, critics say the purpose of the bill has not changed.
🔸The new bill was submitted to parliament on the fourth of Shahrivar, but the date of the vote on it has not yet been announced.
