🔶 Mourning in the Tight Grip of Repression; the Silent Collapse of Survivors of the 1404 Protests
🔺 Report by Elana Farhadi
News of suicides and sudden deaths among parents, spouses, and relatives of those killed in recent months points to the emergence of a deep psychological and social crisis. Confronted with simultaneous grief, exclusion from official avenues of seeking justice, and ongoing security pressures, the day-to-day lives of these families have been turned into a gradual, exhausting process.
On 23 Shahrivar, news was published about the sudden death of Mohsen Majidi, the father of Mohammadmahdī Majidi, one of those killed in the protests in Dey. This tragic event took place only a few days after, on 19 Shahrivar, Hoshang Sohrabi, the brother of Yasin Sohrabi, succumbed to a heavy burden of this grief and additional psychological pressure, leading to a cardiac arrest and death.
