Mohammad Oliaiifard, a lawyer, referring to a report about the suppression of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, said that “the body of evidence indicates that the Islamic Republic has had a structured policy for suppressing dissent, and that killings, torture, rape, and sexual harassment of protesters are instances of ‘crimes against humanity.’”
He added that by providing the names of people from senior officials down to governors and governors of counties, the report could serve as a basis for investigations into the responsibility of individuals for these crimes.
