Masoufti Taheri, a member of the Industries and Mines Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Parliament, said that instead of negotiations, one should respond to the insults and threats from the United States only with “invective,” because the silence of the Islamic Republic enables the enemy to advance “physically and verbally.”
He also said that from the text of the memorandum of understanding, no clause remains that the United States has not violated, and added that this memorandum of understanding “should only be burned,” and there is no reason for a trip to Oman in order to negotiate.
Taheri further said that the negotiation process will, without doubt, reach a dead end, and that adhering to it is “pure loss.”
