🔶 Lebanon’s president asks international community for help to stop Israeli attacks

Joseph Aoun, the President of Lebanon, asked the international community to help stop Israeli attacks. The request came after Israeli airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of at least four people.

The strikes took place on Sunday, September 6 (September 15), despite a ceasefire and an agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese president condemned the renewed Israeli attacks on the city of Nabatiyeh and the areas around it, saying: «This targeting is a dangerous escalation that goes beyond the repeated violations of the ceasefire arrangement; this time it has targeted Lebanese government institutions and service centers.»

Pointing out that the attacks had reached fully civilian offices and medical centers, he said: «This is an obvious intent to strike at the continuity of the activities of Lebanon’s institutions and disrupt people’s everyday affairs.»

He called on the United States and the international community to act immediately to stop these attacks and hold those responsible accountable.
