The Kurdpa human rights organization and Rokna news agency reported the death of Niloufar Mojaver, a 27-year-old girl from Piranشهر, who, after being lured by a man, had for 10 days been severely subjected to violence, torture, and sexual and physical assault, and deprived of water and food in an unspecified location.

According to Kurdpa, after 10 days, Niloufar Mojaver suffered brain death, and after several days of hospitalization, her family agreed to donate her two kidneys— the only healthy organs left in her body— but she ultimately died.

Based on Kurdpa’s report, Niloufar Mojaver’s family filed a complaint against a person named Ezzatodin Seyyed Taheri, who allegedly took advantage of Niloufar’s vulnerable condition and had subjected her to horrific torture and rape; however, this person has not yet been arrested.

In an interview with Kurdpa, Sehila Mahdi Zadeh, Niloufar Mojaver’s aunt, referring to the crimes committed against her niece, said that after the Niloufar case, it was found that Ezzatodin Seyyed Taheri had lured and abused many women in this manner, and that even some unverified reports indicate torture and the murder of three other women by this individual. So far, he has not been detained and is on the run.
