🔶 Katz’s New Year message to Iranians along with a warning of a “severe” response to any attack by Iran

Yisrael Katz, Israel’s defense minister, on Thursday (September 10 / Shahrivar 19), in a message on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year), wished non-civilian citizens of Iran a new year, along with the freedom of their country from oppression and despotism.

He also extended a New Year greeting to the Jews of Iran, telling them that they are part of the “rich and brilliant Jewish history,” and emphasized that they “will always be in our hearts.”

At the same time, Katz warned against any attack on Israel led by Iran.

He said: “Any attack on Israel for any reason and in any place will be met with a powerful response that will inflict severe damage on Iran; damage that Iran has not experienced until today, including strikes on the central energy facilities of this country that provide the resources and capabilities necessary for Iran’s war and terror machine and for harming the citizens of the Israeli state.”
