JD Vance, U.S. Vice President, said that Trump faces two options regarding the situation in the Persian Gulf: the United States leaving the region and preventing the Islamic Republic from creating an energy crisis. He said that the Persian Gulf countries have said that the worst possible thing would be for the United States to leave the region.

In this regard, Vance said that if we leave the region, the whole world would have a much worse situation, because there would no longer be guaranteed access to oil and gas.

He continued by saying that the other option is to accept that the Iranians will shoot at ships “like crazy people,” and that we will do whatever is necessary to ensure that their actions do not lead to a global energy crisis.

Vance said: “So far, we’ve been completely successful on this, and if it weren’t for our efforts, I’ll be honest, gas prices could have been much, much higher.”
