An Israeli airstrike on Wednesday killed four people, including a couple and their six-year-old daughter, in the Gaza Strip.

This comes as negotiations to move forward a Gaza ceasefire deal mediated by the United States have hit an obstacle.

The strike targeted a residential building in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. An Israeli military official told The Times of Israel that the strike was intended to target a Hamas member; the Israeli army has not yet issued an official comment.

Hamas and Israel have repeatedly accused each other of violating the ceasefire.
