Ismail Baqai, spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic, announced that on Friday and Saturday several rounds of talks between the Islamic Republic and Oman at the level of deputy foreign ministers in Tehran were held regarding the management of safe shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, and these talks were accompanied by progress.
Baqai said that both sides discussed shared principles and operational mechanisms for managing safe shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, while respecting the sovereign rights of the two coastal states, and that technical and political consultations between the two sides
The spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic also said that no change has been made to the situation of traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
