🔻The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement that the United States has tried to “deny intent” in its attack on a wedding ceremony in Khouestak in Sirek County.

In this statement, the IRGC listed attacks by the United States on Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen and wrote that “these attacks were also on wedding ceremonies.”

The IRGC said that in the recent U.S. attacks on Iran, “nearly 70 people were hit, of whom 4 were martyred, and the condition of 7 of the wounded has been reported as critical.”

The IRGC statement also went on to say that the United States, regarding its attacks on “Minab, Larestan and Qeshm, is evading accountability,” and that it is better for it to respond as well to similar attacks.

According to a report by relief officials in Hormozgan, during the attack on Khouestak, four people including a child were killed and more than 60 people were also injured.

The United States has denied attacks on civilians and said that the airstrikes on Tuesday night were aimed at facilities and military bases of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The BBC Persian verification section, after examining the geographical location of the wedding venue in the port of Khouestak, found that the site was at least 110 meters away from a communications mast that could have been the main target of the U.S. airstrike.
