Iraq’s foreign minister said his country opposes the war, its continuation, and its expansion, and that there are pressures to pull Iraq into this war.
Fouad Hussein, in an interview with Al Arabiya, said Iraq has suffered material and human losses from this war and that around 200 people have been killed. He added that Iraq has not exported oil since the start of the war.
The Iraqi foreign minister said his country condemns any attack on the Gulf countries and is ready for security cooperation and information-sharing with them.
He said, regarding limiting weapons and handing them over to the government, that three groups have started handing over their weapons, but the position of Kataib Hezbollah and Harakat al-Nujaba has not yet been finalized.
Kataib Hezbollah and Harakat al-Nujaba are among the Iran-backed militia groups in Iraq.
