The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a statement, claimed that it targeted U.S. military bases and facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain using a drone.
The statement alleges that moments earlier, “Arash” drones targeted radar systems, the Patriot air defense system, and fuel tanks at the “Ali Al-Salem” base in Kuwait.
It also claims that this system was tasked with protecting the base and U.S. military equipment, including “MQ-9” drones.
The Army of the Islamic Republic also claimed that, in another wave of attacks, communication and radar systems, including “Super Hawkeye” radars, and Patriot air defense systems deployed at the “Sheikh Isa” base in Bahrain were targeted by drone attacks.
It is claimed that this base is the location where U.S. air support units are stationed and that it sustained “serious damage” in the Islamic Republic’s drone and missile attacks.
