👈 Iran: The agency cannot be unaccountable in the face of attacks on nuclear facilities

The Iranian delegation to the Board of Governors’ meeting said that nuclear security only has meaning when effective action is taken against unlawful attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities that are also under safeguards.

The statement said that if the Agency does not have sufficient capability or will to address the security consequences of such attacks, the trust of member states in its performance and effectiveness would be called into question.

Iran also warned about violations of confidentiality and the disclosure of sensitive information, emphasizing that the Agency has clear legal responsibility regarding the misuse of this information for sabotage actions.
