🔶 India summoned Iran’s deputy ambassador after an Indian sailor was killed
A senior Indian official said that this country has summoned the deputy ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran following the killing of an Indian mariner in the Strait of Hormuz.
Previously, the Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates had said that two UAE national oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and in Oman’s territorial waters were targeted by two Iranian cruise missiles, as a result of which one Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.
The ministry also said that a fire broke out on both tankers, but was brought under control.
