Hussein Aghayi, a member of the Iran International editorial board, says that with regard to the Islamic Republic’s changing model in the Persian Gulf, Tehran faces highly risky options in response to U.S. pressures; from attacking ships and energy facilities to focusing on internal repression.

He also, by referring to the role of “time” in the current equations, speaks of the possibility that the Islamic Republic could reach a “point of reversal.”
