Following reports about widespread disruption at land borders and a crisis in Iran’s foreign trade after a naval blockade, the newspaper Shargh has reported that some neighboring countries have refused to accept Iran’s transit shipments.
Eshkan Nezamabadi, an economic journalist, said that despite an increase in the costs paid by the Islamic Republic for transportation in southern ports, Iranian trucks have remained in limbo at the borders. According to him, Tehran cannot count on unrestricted transit with Islamabad.
