The funeral prayer service of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was held Thursday night, 18 Tir, at the “Shams al-Shumus” shrine next to the shrine of the eighth Shiite Imam. In this ceremony as well, Mojtaba Khamenei, the new leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was not present, and Mustafa Khamenei, his older brother, led the prayer.
