As prices continued to rise and tensions increased in Iran’s currency market, the U.S. dollar rate in the free market reached a record high of 225,000 tomans on Saturday, 14 Shahrivar.
At the same time, other major currencies were also traded at high levels. At the time of writing this report, the euro was 261,440 tomans, the pound was 305,760 tomans, and the UAE dirham was 61,760 tomans.
The increase also spread to the coin market, and the Emami coin reached 237 million tomans on Saturday.
