U.S. forces destroy a floating fuel-supply station of a drug cartel;
The United States Southern Command, or SOUTHCOM, on Wednesday, the 25th of Shahrivar, seized a floating fuel-supply station belonging to the narco-terrorist group “Los Choneros” in the eastern Pacific Ocean and, after evacuating the crew, destroyed it.
According to SOUTHCOM’s report, the detained individuals will be handed over to Ecuadorian authorities.
General Francis L. Donovan, commander of SOUTHCOM, described the operation as part of a strategy to disrupt logistics networks and strike the financial resources of drug trafficking groups in the Western Hemisphere.
