Tampa, Florida — At 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time (07:00 Iran time), U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) concluded another round of attacks against Iran; the 12th consecutive night of these operations.
U.S. forces targeted Iranian military objectives, including naval capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and air defense systems. These strikes further weaken Iran’s ability to attack non-military seafarers and commercial ships.
During this month, U.S. forces have targeted dozens of Iranian military sites on land and have resumed Iran’s maritime blockade at the same time. To date, CENTCOM has redirected the routes of nine commercial vessels and also disabled one ship to prevent the entry or departure of vessels to and from Iranian ports.
More than 50,000 U.S. military personnel are operating throughout the Middle East and continue to be at the highest level of alertness, focus, combat readiness, and operational capability.
